This international project aims to work with different partner institutions to explore global perspectives on social issues in Mandarin Chinese. It involves students making documentaries on a given topic in the target language; peer review of the video production; and collaborative online discussion. The project blends language learning with subject knowledge. The project revolutionises the way students are assessed and offers opportunities for them to collaborate and work with students from other elite universities around the world.

The project will allow students to:

  • have the opportunity to exchange views on social issues with students from around the globe.
  • get creative and collaborate with other as part of a team.
  • develop their presentational skills.

This project also allows teachers from partner institutions to exchange ideas on how to incorporate various technologies into language learning, and explore innovative  ways of teaching Chinese language.
